ABSTRACT

There is a rising concern about the increasing concentration especially on the agricultural machines market. The aim of the present paper is to examine if there has been this concentration trend in the past and if that the trend can be expected to continue in the future. With the assistance of the concentration ratios the development of concentration has been pointed out for the market of tractors and combine harvesters. The analysis shows that a concentration trend is unlikely to exist. In the past after a period of increasing concentration a period of decrease followed. It cannot be ruled out, that this will be going on in the future.
